Survey Duration Based on Date or the Number of Responses

In the 'EDIT' – 'Settings' – 'Activity/quotas' tab, you have the option of setting the duration of the survey, i.e. how long the survey is active and open to the respondents.

Survey Activity

Click on the first calendar to select when to start the survey, and on the second calendar to select when to close/deactivate the survey. You can also mark the survey as permanent: in this case, the survey will be active and open for responses until you manually deactivate it.

Quotas (Limit number of responses)

Users of the 3KA package for individuals as well as users of the business packages for groups can also set a quota (limit the number of responses) and enter the maximum number of responses in the input field. You can set a quota for all responses (including clicks on the introduction (status 3), clicks on the survey (status 4)) or only for the relevant units (partially completed surveys (status 5) and completed surveys (status 6)). Explanations of the different unit statuses can be found in the manual Status of units, relevance, validity and missing values.

When as many respondents as you have specified have answered the survey, the survey will be deactivated and a predefined message will be displayed to respondents: 'Survey reached a maximum response count.'. Clicking on the 'pencil' icon next to the message will open the 'Settings' - 'Standard words' tab, where you can edit the message as you wish. For example, if your survey serves as a sign-up form for a workshop where you will accept a maximum of 40 registrations, you can set the message to be displayed to respondents when the quota is reached. E.g. "Registration for the workshop is closed." or "All places for the workshop are filled".

You can access the data and analyses without restriction, regardless of the survey duration and quota settings. More >>
