How Do I Prevent the Same Respondent From Participating in the Survey Multiple Times?

Multiple participation in a survey can be prevented in the following ways:

  • In the row 'Cookie' of the 'EDIT' - 'Settings' – 'Respondents access' tab, activate cookies, by which returning respondents are recognized and treated in accordance with the settings in the row 'If user returns' (e.g. starts at the last submitted page) and the row 'User that finished his survey' (e.g. can later edit their answers).
  • Activate the use of identification codes, which is assigned by the system to each respondent separately, In the 'PUBLISH' - 'Invitations' tab. This option is possible by obtaining permission to send email invitations for each survey.

When you have a list of people you want to participate in your survey, we recommend the use of identification codes (which must be first delivered to the respondents). Preventing multiple replies with the use of cookies or IP addresses can be circumvented (but not easily, and with a standard survey this does not represent a significant risk). The use of identification codes is only available to 3KA private package users.
