Access with Email is an advanced module that enables secure access to a survey. Before starting the survey, the respondent must enter their email address. A one-time access code is then sent to that address, and the respondent can proceed with completing the survey only after entering the code.
The module is designed to ensure complete anonymity. The email address is used solely for sending the access code and is never linked to the responses provided by the respondent in the survey. The system prevents multiple codes from being sent to the same email address, thereby ensuring one-time access for each address. The database temporarily stores only information about the email address to which the code was sent and whether a particular code has already been used. This information is not displayed together with the survey data.
The module can be enabled in the survey settings under Edit → Settings → Advanced Modules → Access with Email. After enabling the module, you must also enter the text of the terms of use, which the respondent must explicitly agree to before accessing the survey. Without accepting the terms of use, the respondent cannot proceed.
For additional protection against misuse, you can also enable reCAPTCHA verification. This helps ensure that access codes are requested by real users rather than automated systems.
