Data updates (file vs. database)
ALL units and ALL data is saved automatically into the database, from which a special file is generated, which serves as the basis for data browsing, exports and analyses.
Generating and updating the file takes place continuously; for larger surveys (over 5,000 units), the file is generated only for the relevant units (and not for invalid or empty units).
Since the units are added continuously, the process of generating a file (from the database), goes unnoticed by the user. Only if the database is changed (e.g. a variable is added or removed from the existing survey), the file is re-generated, which may take a few minutes if there are tens of thousands of units.
