Duration

Estimating the duration of a survey based on the number of characters in the questions tells us how long our survey should last. Information about the duration of the survey can be found in the tab 'TESTING' - 'Duration' where you can find information:

  • Duration estimation: total survey duration, duration by page, duration by questions (pages), duration by blocks, duration by questions (blocks)
  • Actual duration: actual durations (excluding possible test units), frequency durations.

Users with administrator status (subscribers to their own installations) can also change the settings for how long each character of text takes on different types of questions (per 100 characters). For other types of users, this is predefined. The duration for 1 page is 5 seconds. If we also used the conditions in the survey, the duration is reduced accordingly - if the probability of a question appearance is 25% and the duration (without conditions) is estimated to be 8 seconds, then the duration is a condition of 2 seconds.

When submitting letter questionnaires, the actual times are reduced by half when using the quick entry questionnaire module, but this does not affect the estimated times.
