Means
The 1KA tool allows you to generate averages according to the categorical variable, or the independent variable with categories, which you can compare with the dependent variable, which should be numerical. This is done by selecting 'Means' from the 'Select' dropdown menu in the 'ANALYSIS' – 'Statistics' tab. Means are only available to 3KA private package users.
Select the independent (control) variable from the first dropdown menu, while the dependent (numeric) variable should be selected in the second dropdown menu. The system will generate a table of means according to categories and the number of all units within a survey. Charts can also be displayed by selecting the 'Display charts' option, located to the right of the dropdown menus.
The means table can be exported in PDF, MS Word or MS Excel formats, direct printing is also possible. A graph can also be displayed. You can easily add the means table to your custom report (click on the star icon - 'Include in report', under the table or chart).
The means table can also be analysed with advanced analysis options and can be filtered according to segments, zoom, groups, variables, conditions, missing values, time period and unit status.
The analysis settings are located in the upper right corner in the form of a 'wheel'. Here you can set:
