Creating respondent groups
If you wish to analyse individual respondent groups without asking for identification, you can simply create groups before you send out a survey. Example: you wish to distinguish between companies or their employees, so you create a group for each company (company A, company B, company C).
You can create groups in one of two ways:
- 'EDIT' – 'Settings' – 'Respondent access': generate a separate password for each group, which is then displayed in the data and analysis (for example: Company A has a password: ***1, company B has a password: ***2, etc.).
- 'EDIT' – 'Settings' – 'Groups': With this functionality you can also create any number of groups of respondents, but in this case a URL address is generated for each group, which you can then forward to individual groups (for example, each company gets its own URL).
Data for all the groups is stored in one database, while a new variable for groups is created within the database, through which they can be identified in the analysis. This functionality works similarly to languages. One of the advantages is the option of creating conditions for each group within the questionnaire, so you determine which questions appears for which group. As in the case of languages, groups can also be used in conditions (IF). Variables 'group' and 'language' are available in dropdown menu within settings for conditions, but only if at least two groups or respondents are defined or the questionnaire is designed in at least two languages.
