Computed values
You can calculate a new variable in the 'DATA' – 'Computations' - 'Computed values' tab. When you click 'Add new computation', a new variable is generated in the questionnaire, as well as in the data.
This option is suitable if, for example, you wish to calculate the age of the respondent by using the year of birth. In this case you add a new computed value (computation) and subtract the 'Year of birth' variable from the current year.
The computed values are fully equivalent to the Computations option in the 'EDIT' - 'Questionnaire' tab.
