Introduction and informed consent
My name is Timur, and I am a master’s student at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana. I am inviting you to take part in a short research study for my master’s thesis on people’s views of voice assistants.
A voice assistant (VA) is software you control by speaking – for example Siri, Google Assistant, or Amazon Alexa. To take part you must be at least 18 years old. The survey takes about 10 minutes.
Participation is voluntary: you may skip any question or stop at any time without giving a reason. Your answers are anonymous, cannot be linked to you, and are used only for academic research and reported in aggregate. The anonymised dataset may be stored in a secure repository for scholarly re-use, in line with open-science principles. There are no specific risks to taking part, and no specific benefits other than the chance to share your views.
