2ND VIRTUAL INTERDISCIPLINARY CONFERENCE - Heritage turns blue: Glocal impacts on coastal cultural heritage

This event will take place on February 28, 2023. It will be held online via the Zoom platform, and will include three parts:

1. Two introductory lectures: Glocal and local impacts on coastal cultural heritage - a view from archaeology and geomorphology.         

  • assoc. prof. Irena Radić Rossi (Department of Archaeology, University of Zadar): A view from the depths: protection and valorization of underwater heritage         
  • assoc. prof. Nina Lončar (Department of Geography, University of Zadar): Impact of sea level rise on coastal regions         


The lecture would be broadcasted live using the Zoom platform.

2. Short presentation by up to two researchers from each partner university (up to 10-15 minutes per presentation) in which they would present their research in the area of the event's theme. Researchers should submit their topic proposals and an abstract by February 1, 2023 and presentations by February 20, 2023. As one of the objectives of the conference is interdisciplinarity in research on SmUCS, speakers are invited to address this aspect in their presentations, emphasizing its significance for this research.

3. A roundtable/workshop on a topic selected by most partners in the questionnaire. The duration of the roundtable will be 1 hour. During the workshop, all speakers will be invited to give their view on benefits or challenges of integrating interdisciplinarity in their research.
